“For the sonic direction of this album I wanted to have an album that was very consistent in energy! My last project “LIFELINE 2” (Released under my former name DA MESSENGER) was very dark in content and sonically to me. I wanted the sound of “CROWN” to be totally opposite of that”! – says KYREN MONTEIRO. “I believe that “CROWN” is a classic in its own right. It’s definitely timeless music that is truly incredible! Rather you call it Christian Hip-Hop music or Hip-Hop music that expresses faith in Christ Jesus, I think that we can all agree that this type of Christ centered content is RARE nowadays! The content of “CROWN” is vintage truth but at the same it’s very relatable. Which has always been the mission of Engage Records”! – says KYREN MONTEIRO.
